Hexie Tree and Apple Wreath are a modern minimalistic pattern with Scandinavian vibe. They both combines traditional piecing and foundation paper piecing (specially designed for freezer paper). They are creatively challenging as it allows you to practice free motion quilting, hand quilting and even embroidery or sashiko depending on what finishing touches you would like to add to your tree. You can complete them with easy applique or embroidery details that add a delightful touch to an otherwise minimalistic modern design.

Hexie Tree and Apple Wresth patterns are a collaboration between Amarar Creacions and NordicCrafter.

Hexie Tree: Wall Quilt / Baby Quilt 36″ x 46″ (91,5 x 116,8 cm)

Apple Wreath: Finished pillow 20” x 20” (50,8 x 50,8 cm) / Pillow top 23” x 23” (58,4 x 58,4 cm).

The patterns include:

  • In Hexie Tree: Pattern template for the leave/apple blocks, including cutting templates for the leaves, apples and gaps. (Cutting templates for background pieces for apple/leaf blocks are not included). In Apple Wreath: Pattern template for the apple blocks (including all cutting templates).
  • Quilt diagram.
  • Assembly instructions for foundation paper piecing of the of the leaf and apple blocks and traditional piecing of the background.
  • Suggestions for finishing the quilt.
  • Colouring sheet.
  • A code for free updates download.

The pattern is available in 3 language: English, Spanish or Catalan. The Spanish and Catalan are in A4 sheet size and for the English one you can choose between 2 sheet sizes: Letter (8.5 “x11” (21.6 x 27.9 cm)) or A4 .
